The 1954 501 from Levi's Vintage Clothing is one of LVC's most iconic and sought after jean fits. This dark indigo iteration is made from 100% cotton Japanese selvedge denim with red selvage ticker--a proprietary denim milled just for Levi's to painstakingly re-create 1950's Levi's denim fabric. Originally, the 1954 501, the "501 Z," was produced to help Levi's jeans spread from the West to East coast, so the iconic button fly was replaced with a zip fly to be more appealing to East Coasters unaccustomed to button-fly work pants. Details aside, the 501 has remained one of the greatest fits throughout time and is a silhouette every denim brand has sought to reinterpret. Model is 5'10," 165 lbs wearing size 30 that has not been hot/ cold washed to shrink.
