Red Wing issued the original Lineman in 1910 for lineman workers responsible for stringing & repairing electric and phone lines. The current silhouette is based on a 1940's Lineman, with a few modern tweaks including shortened boot shaft height (from 10" to 6")and use of Traction Tred Wedge Sole (instead of lug sole). Whether worn for work or general lifestyle use, the extended eyestay makes for a snugger & more customized fit, making it ideal for folks who need maximum comfort & ankle support from standing/ walking on uneven surfaces. Unfortunately we cannot ship Red Wing Heritage outside of the US and Canada.
