How We Measure

Bottoms

WAIST: Pull the front of the pants up so it lines up evenly with the back. Measure straight across the waist. It is VERY important to be sure to pull the front completely up in line with the back, or else it will result in a smaller waist measurement, which is not the true accurate measurement.

FRONT RISE: Measure from the center of the crotch to the top of the waist.

BACK RISE: On the back, measure from the top of the waist to the center of the crotch.

UPPER THIGH: Start 1″ down from the crotch, measure straight across the thigh.

KNEE: Start 13″ down from the crotch, measure straight across the knee.

LEG OPENING: Measure across the very bottom of the leg at the opening.

INSEAM: Measure from the crotch to the end of the leg.

FRONT LENGTH: Measure from the top seam near the collar to the bottom of the shirt.

The Flat Head Tapered Straight Jeans in Black are a medium weight black five pocket jean with a looser fitting top block and slightly tapered leg inspired by a trouser fit.  The Flat Head rarely produces black denim, and this mid-weight selvedge denim has a soft hand, is comfortable and easy to wear, and remains true to the high-quality, small-batch workwear ethos that has inspired The Flat Head's designs for decades.  Model is 6'1", 200 lbs wearing size XL.
